One of my new years resolutions was to read more this year. I gave myself a goal of 20 books for 2012. I read a big FAT ZERO books last year, so 20 seemed like a good idea at the time. I’m sure I’ll reach that goal if I keep going the way I’m going. I’m up to 5 books for the year so far. I just hate when a good book has to end. Like The Hunger Games (THG) Series. OMG! Have you read the books yet? Holy Schmoly. I had seen people all over the internet raving about the books for a while and never really gave it much thought. Just didn’t really care I guess, till Jan. hit and everybody recommended the series to kick off the new year resolution. I’m so glad I finally gave in. The series is amazing. Each book was just great and I cannot wait to see the movie later this month. I highly recommend the series.

The last book I read was Divergent by Veronica Roth. It’s in the same genre as THG series, the same young adult dystopian type books. It was ok, but no Hunger Games. That’s not fair, but it is what it is. lol It was a good quick read and held my attention so, it wasn’t that bad. I’m trying to read The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella right now. I’m having a hard time getting through this one right now. I’m trying to get into it, but I dunno… I guess coming off that whole dystopian stuff and then into chick lit is a little hard for me. =\

UPDATE ON THE UNDOMESTIC GODDESS: I FINALLY GOT TO THE GOOD PART! I was literally LMAO in bed last night with this book. OMG! so funny. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed that much reading a book!

I don’t have an e-reader or an ipad YET, so I had to buy some books. I found this website called thriftbooks.com where you can purchase used books online. I got 3 books for around $11. not too shabby. one of them was a hardcover! just thought I’d pass that along for anyone interested. So what’s the last book you read? Anything you’d like to recommend?
